“Education must be concerned not only with studies, but also with whatever may be required for the right ordering of life and requirements of cultivated society.”
- St. Madeleine Sophie Barat
Education
We support public policies that support the role of our Catholic schools, which serve both the faith community and local communities by educating children, young people, and adults to contribute to the common good by becoming active and caring members to the society in which they live. We also advocate for policies that affirm parents’ “right to choose a school for them which corresponds to their own personal convictions” and ensure the duty of public authorities to guarantee this parental right (CCC #2229).
Issues related to Education include:
School choice, matters impacting Catholic schools, NSAA regulations, federal education issues
Foundational Documents:
Catechism of the Catholic Church (2221-2231)
