Bishops' Pro-Life Conference 2020

Bishops' Pro-Life Conference: Redeeming the Time

Saturday, October 24, 2020

9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This event will take place online.

While 2020 has been full of unexpected challenges, we know that proclaiming the Gospel of Life is more important now than ever. We made this very difficult decision to cancel our annual Pro-Life Banquet, but we are excited to offer this year's Pro-Life Conference online!

The theme for the conference, Redeeming the Time, was inspired by this verse from St. Paul's letter to the Ephesians:

"See therefore, brethren, how you walk circumspectly: not as unwise, But as wise: redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” (Eph 5:15-16)

In the morning panel discussion, we will come to a greater understanding of our current times and how we can redeem our culture through evangelization. Our keynote speaker, George Weigel, will give us a first-hand account of the remarkable pro-life witness of St. John Paul the Great, and challenge us to apply his lessons to our modern world. Lastly, NCC Associate Director for Pro-Life and Family Marion Miner will take us through the landscape of abortion policy since Roe v. Wade and give us hope for the future.
