Catholics at the Capitol Online Series

This year, we are offering three ONLINE events in lieu of our annual in-person event. You will find information and a registration link for each event below.

Feel free to attend one or all three online events, but you will need to fill out a separate registration for each event. Each will have unique guest speakers, and registration for any event will come with an NCC Advocacy Kit.

Catholics at the Capitol: 2021 Legislative Issues
Tuesday, March 9 at 12 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Join us for the first of our Catholics at the Capitol online series! This will be a condensed version of our annual in-person event, with a prayer and reflection from Archbishop George Lucas of Omaha, a talk from Speaker of the Legislature, Senator Mike Hilgers, and NCC Staff giving an overview of important bills facing the Legislature this year. Catholics at the Capitol: Why a Good Catholic Meddles in Politics
Tuesday, March 16 at 7:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Join us for the second of our Catholics at the Capitol online series! Grab a drink and tune in for a discussion about why a good Catholic meddles in politics, how we can fit advocacy into our everyday lives, and the NCC's priority bills for the year.  Our guest speakers will be Bishop James Conley of Lincoln, Lt. Gov. Mike Foley, and Nikki Shasserre. Register here.

Catholics at the Capitol: How to Make Your Voice Heard in a Pandemic
Tuesday, March 23 at 12 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Join us for the third of our Catholics at the Capitol online series! We will spend time diving into our top priority bills for the session and talk about how to make your voice heard to elected officials amid the pandemic. We will also be joined by Senator Lou Ann Linehan who will discuss school choice legislation and Senator Mike McDonnell who will discuss closing the unemployment gap for immigrants.
